This is the life credo of Deputy Chief of the department of oil refining and advanced desulfurization of petroleum products on the secondary processes Mansur Btimaliyev.

He started working at the refinery in 2005 during the “Japanese reconstruction.” Mansur, economist and developer of oil and gas fields, having two diplomas of higher educational institutions, was given the post of the operator at the installation of sulfur production. The installation team, headed by Zhasulanom Tuleuovym, took Mansur in with in the nice atmosphere and he quickly got on the working track. So, one might say, he began to realize his long-cherished dream - to become the oil refiner and work at the Atyrau Oil Refinery (AOR). His desire to work and desire to know everything were the main drives.

“And not only that also the teachers were good: Alexander Gordeyev, who worked as a senior operator, very experienced operator Zhambyl Tairov, who taught to work according to the technological scheme, he showed everything and explained things well,” says Mansour. “In 2007, I was transferred to the isomerization section, the work was fundamentally different. If at the installation of sulfur production we refined gas, here, there was a secondary process of refining.”

Along with the work at the CCR, he started a new stage in the life. He worked in the brigade, in shifts, and, of course, once again, destiny had only good people in store for him.

“Machinist Samat Kubiyev gave lessons on the dynamic equipment. The then senior operator, shift supervisor today Zhenisbek Ismagulov, hydrotreating operator Victor Konstantinov also willingly shared their knowledge. Shift supervisor back then was Rustem Bisaliev, who was not only competent, but also a wise leader, and played a significant role in my life,” said Mansur.

Soon Mansur sent a senior operator at the CPA. The new facility was the next step up in his career. And then he returned to being a PPNGO technologist. Then, he was deputy chief of CCR, then again a PPNGO engineer, later senior engineer, and then for about a year he was PPNGO’s Deputy Head of secondary processes.

Laconic Mansur comes alive more when speaking about the life at AOR than about his own. He seems especially excited when he talks about the production.

“Today, the process of refining is almost completely automated. Everything is tracked on the monitor to immediately prevent the faults. A lot is controlled by a computer. Yes, it does, to some extent, facilitates the work, less bustle, however, a visual inspection is still required. Mandatory and systematic circumvention of installations, control of selection for analysis products and constant updating of knowledge. Since our factory is undergoing constant changes. Today, we produce not only oil, but also petrochemicals. New technologies are being actively introduced into the process, and we have to develop them. I came here with a great desire to work here, perhaps because of this, I immediately joined the AOR, and it became an integral part of my life. Work always has a positive effect on people. It means growth not only professionally, but also personally,” said Mansur.

Like millions of people he also has a dream, which he believes, will come true as long as he continues to believe in it.
